The Place

Learning Initiative is an unusual hybrid creature: we are a human resource development company, a school and a community all rolled into one. Our mission is to develop potential -- to foster the growth of an enterprising, self-reliant, resilient, and collaborative population. Learning Initiative helps people discover a happier and more productive way to live and work, on their own and with each other. We, the teachers and coaches at Learning Initiative, are friendly, intelligent, inspiring, knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate about what we do. We live what we teach, and are committed to a modeling approach that demonstrates the skills and values that are the focus of our classes. We deliver programs, courses and workshops that honour, develop and support the human beings that animate businesses and organizations. We work primarily with staffs of organizations to build more productive, motivated, cohesive workplaces, and with small business owners, building a supportive business community.  We teach people in our own classrooms and we teach on the road, bringing our workshops and presentations to board rooms and conference halls. Ultimately, we create a safe learning environment in which people can transform themselves or their teams. Despite over 15 years of experience in the field of entrepreneurship and economic development, we are not simply a business school.  Learning Initiative is a human potential development school, and as such, we guide and empower people to help them realize their dreams in a practical, realistic way.  We encourage people to learn about themselves, each other and the universe, to become creative and autonomous, and through the development of increased awareness, trust and honesty, to become all they can be. We would be pleased to work with you and your organization to help you reach and maintain the level of success that you desire. Simply contact us by email, phone or in person.
