This practical communications course is for people who would like to become more comfortable with speaking up: speaking publicly, addressing larger audiences, as well as speaking up for what is important to them and developing skills that will better enable them to stand their ground and defend their positions, asserting their own perspective. These essential business skills will be developed through practical exercises. Participants will gain confidence as they are shown how to and encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings clearly and effectively. We will help you get over your fears vis-à-vis the media, and give you the professional tips and practice to feel confident the next time you are approached by a reporter with a microphone! This class should be taken by everyone sending out news releases or attending trade shows plus anyone else who is working on their public speaking skills.
